BMW PlantBMW’s assembly plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina started off as just a simple plant that was looked on as an investment that would eventually pay off. It seems that day has come and BMW is only too happy to be watching it grow. It seems though that in order for it to grow they way they need it to they will have to expand it out first.

They will build the plant out 70,000 square feet – which will cost them $27 million. BMW isn’t too worried about the cost when it comes to the money that they have increased and are looking to expand on even more.

The plant in Spartanburg is working on the X5 SAV, Z4 Roadster and M Coupes, and the X6 SAV. In 2010 all of the X3 SAV production will be brought to the U.S. and all of the Z4 Roadsters will be brought over to Germany.
